Last night, since I can't put little sunshine to sleep.. I turned the tv on and hit the remote and I came across HBO's An Inconvinient Truth. It's about a man's passion (actually it's former Vice President Al Gore) to somewhat stop global warmings progress. His life was set to focus and give his all out effort to help save the planet, our planet. He has done global warming travel show which offers myths and other related things that helps it progress.

Gore is funny, engaging, open and downright on fire about getting the surprisingly stirring truth about what he calls our “planetary emergency” out to ordinary citizens before it’s too late. With 2005, the worst storm season ever experienced in America just behind us, it seems we have reached a tipping point – and Gore pulls no punches in explaining the dire situation. Interspersed with the bracing facts and future predictions is the story of Gore’s personal journey: from an idealistic college student who first saw a massive environmental crisis looming; to a young Senator facing a harrowing family tragedy that altered his perspective; to the man who almost became President but instead returned to the most impassioned cause of his entire life – believing there is still time to make a difference. With wit, smarts and hope, AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH ultimately brings home Gore’s persuasive argument that we can no longer afford to view global warming as a political issue – rather, it is simply one of the biggest moral challenges facing every person in our times. YAAYYY ehem so what the heck is Global warming?

Tell you honestly I don't really know the true meaning of it until I searched from the Dictionary, para mas konti at precise ang explanation! the only thing I know is---its an increase to the earth's atmospheric and oceanic temperature predicted to occur because of the increase in the greenhouse effect resulting especially from pollution. (I memorized the definition from merriam webster so that I wont be ignorante naman if somebody or even my little kid and cousins asked me about it. I hope that film makers would atleast have time to make some movie or documentary about global warming so that people will be familiar with it . And before I forget there are some qoutes at the end credits that really hit me :)

'If you are a child, tell your parents not to destroy your world that you live in..'

'If you are the parent,go with your children, help them build the world they'll live in..'

'If you believe in prayers, pray for people to believe in change.'

WHAT IS GLOBAL WARMING?

Carbon dioxide and other gases warm the surface of the planet naturally by trapping solar heat in the atmosphere. This is a good thing because it keeps our planet habitable. However, by burning fossil fuels such as coal, gas and oil and clearing forests we have dramatically increased the amount of carbon dioxide in the Earth’s atmosphere and temperatures are rising.

  Deaths from global warming will double in just 25 years -- to 300,000 people a year.
  
• Global sea levels could rise by more than 20 feet with the loss of shelf ice in Greenland and Antarctica, devastating coastal areas worldwide.
  
• Heat waves will be more frequent and more intense.
  Droughts and wildfires will occur more often.
  The Arctic Ocean could be ice free in summer by 2050.
  
• More than a million species worldwide could be driven to extinction by 2050

P.P.S. So lets all join together to fight global warming.. let's build a wonderful world for our little ones to live in. It's on our hands. Every single human can do something its not important if its big or small but the trueness of the intentions matter the most. :)
